Evacuation roll call, from a phone.

When the alarm sounds, marshals do not run back to reception to grab a visitor book. They open a phone and see everyone currently on site, filtered by zone or muster point, and check people off as they arrive. Sign-in data, contractor data, access-control swipes, all reconciled in one live list.

Why phones beat paper

Paper roll call is a hostage to the reception desk.

If the reception is inside the evacuated area, the paper is inside too. Someone has to run back for it. Or they hand-write names at the muster point and reconcile with the visitor book afterward, hoping nobody was missed. BeckonDesk syncs the live list to every marshal's device the moment the alarm is triggered.

What marshals see

A single screen, one tap per person.

  • Everyone on site, live. Signed-in visitors, signed-in contractors, employees who badged in through access control, deliveries that were signed for.
  • Filter by zone. If your building has separate muster points per zone, each marshal sees only the people expected at their point.
  • Tap to mark safe. When someone reports at the muster point, one tap moves them from missing to safe. Progress visible to every marshal in real time.
  • Missing list surfaces last. When only unaccounted-for people remain, the incident lead has a single filtered list to hand to emergency services.
  • Post-evacuation report. Automatic PDF: alarm time, muster time, everyone on site at trigger, marshals on duty, timeline of who was marked safe when. For HSE, insurers, or the debrief.
